I collected this tree in December of 2005 from the base of a granite cliff in Southeastern Arizona. Each winter, the snow and ice from the cornice created by the cliff would fall against one side and the base of the trunk, which created the incredible shari that is the finest feature of this bonsai. The tree was found growing in an upright style and was turned 180 degreees into a cascade style to showcase the amazing deadwood.
