While I was measuring the tree for this submission, I again studied the magnificent deadwood that mother nature created on this tree all by herself without the hands of man and stopped for a moment in my busy schedule to study the whole composition. I think Ponderosa Pines are distinctly American and when they are developed as bonsai, provide good representation of what the United States can contribute to the bonsai world. I think this tree belongs in the first Artisan's Cup show as a representation of North American Bonsai.
